Hello! Welcome to my little corner of the internet. This is a space where my passion for visual storytelling, world-building, and fantasy comes together. If you commission through intermediary platforms, the specific policies of Ko-fi or VGen will apply natively. The following clauses govern directly all private commissions managed via email or social media, processed through direct payment orders from NORANEKO STUDIO ©

To ensure the process is clear and fair for both parties, please read the following before requesting a commission.

Commissioning
✦ By requesting a service or an art commission, the client agrees to these terms. The project consists of the creation of a custom visual and creative project based on previously agreed-upon requirements.Payment
✦ Full payment (100%) is required before work begins.
✦ No refunds will be issued once the production process has started.
✦ All prices are listed in USD (United States Dollars).
✦ Payments are processed securely via Stripe (either through linked platforms or direct payment links). Available payment methods may vary depending on the client's country and device. Any applicable additional fees will be clearly communicated before payment.Revisions
✦ Up to 3 revisions are included during the sketch or concept phase.
✦ Once this phase is approved, no further changes will be made in later stages.
✦ Any additional changes requested after approval will incur an extra cost, to be mutually agreed upon in advance.Delivery & Claims
✦ The final outcome will be delivered exclusively in high-resolution digital format via the email address provided by the client.
✦ Standard turnaround times may vary depending on the complexity of the project and will be clearly communicated before payment.
✦ Upon project completion, the client will be asked to confirm receipt of the final files. Once delivery is confirmed via email and/or delivery platforms, the service is considered fully completed and concluded; therefore, no claims regarding non-receipt will be accepted. In case of technical issues downloading the file, the client may request a re-send at no additional cost.Cancellations
✦ If the client decides to cancel the project after payment has been made and work has already begun, no refund will be issued.
✦ If the artist cancels the commission for any reason, a full refund of the corresponding amount will be issued immediately.Usage Rights
✦ The artist retains all copyrights over the created artwork.
✦ Unless a commercial rights fee is settled in writing, all deliveries are strictly for personal use. Reselling, merchandising, or commercial use is not permitted without prior authorization.Artificial Intelligence (AI) Usage
✦ The artwork may not be used to train artificial intelligence, machine learning models, or similar image-generation systems without the explicit written consent of the artist.Portfolio Use & Confidentiality
✦ The artist reserves the right to display the work-in-progress and the final piece in their portfolio and social media for personal promotional purposes.
✦ If the project requires strict confidentiality (Non-Disclosure Agreement / NDA), the client must notify the artist before starting the commission. This may incur an additional fee for withholding exhibition rights.General
✦ I reserve the right to update these terms and conditions at any time.
✦ Any changes will not affect commissions that have already been confirmed and are in progress.

By requesting a commission, the client confirms that they have read and accepted these terms.

This website is strictly informational and does not collect, store, or process any personal user data or cookies. All financial transactions are handled securely and externally through Stripe or our linked platforms. ✦ Si el proyecto requiere total confidencialidad (Acuerdo de confidencialidad / NDA), el cliente deberá notificarlo antes de iniciar el encargo. Esto podría generar una tarifa adicional por retención de derechos de exhibición.General

MISSION STATEMENT

"To create something that moves the world."

Hello! My name is Gil Hernandez, and I work as a digital illustrator and concept designer under the alias of Noraneko.For me, art is a pure, wordless form of expression—a medium to channel what I feel from the deep bottom of my heart. Digital illustration and Concept Design are my ways of bringing to life the diverse universes that live within people's minds. My job is to materialize that imagination, focusing on the most vital aspect of any project: creating atmospheres and emotions that leave a lasting impression on the audience.

PHILOSOPHY & INFLUENCES

My creative philosophy is deeply inspired by the visual storytelling and aesthetics of contemporary Japanese art—specifically manga, animation, and its vibrant pop culture. I blend these emotionally charged atmospheres with the dynamism of modern Western styles to shape and discover my own artistic voice.

I am currently expanding the visual universe of Noraneko Studio and developing personal artistic projects.

✦ What software and hardware do you use?

My love for open-source software has led me to rely on Krita for digital illustration and Blender for 3D work. However, depending on the project’s requirements, I am also fully proficient in Clip Studio Paint, Adobe Photoshop, and one of my personal favorites, Affinity! For hardware, my main tool is an Ugee UE16 15.4" pen display.

✦ Are you available for commercial projects?

Yes! Beyond personal commissions, I am fully open to working on commercial projects such as book covers, album art, character design, and concept art for games. Please contact me via email to discuss rates and licensing.[email protected]

✦ Why “Noraneko”?

"Noraneko" means "stray cat" or "wandering cat" in Japanese. The name was inspired by a song about a free-spirited stray that roams the world entirely on its own terms. Personally, I view life as an intricate path, and I constantly find myself dreaming of that absolute freedom—to move through the world without answering to anyone or being bound by the rigid pressures of survival. For me, "Noraneko" is a creative manifesto; a rebellious statement to remind myself that if I am going to live in this reality, I am going to do it my own way, through my own art.

✦ Do you share your brushes?

The brushes I use the most in Krita belong to two different bundles created by two wonderful artists: David Revoy and Rakurri. Their brush packs are filled with amazing tools, and you can get them for free through their social media and websites. I will leave the links right here:

✦ How long does a commission usually take?

Turnaround times vary depending on the complexity of the piece and my current queue. Generally, a commission takes between 1 to 2 weeks after the payment is processed and the sketch phase is approved.

✦ Do you sell physical prints of your art?

Currently, I only offer digital services and digital products on Ko-fi. However, I am carefully designing a future line of physical prints and stationery under Noraneko Atelier. Stay tuned!
